I often want to make multiple changes and then run the updates to the calculations, but as the update is currently automatic, it starts updating and less information about affected transactions is shown, so I need to wait for the update to finish before doing more changes and the updates take a long time to complete.

I often have to go through hundreds of transactions and changes. Wondering if it wouldn't be easier to have the option to pause the Queued popup screen.
Then allow us to either view where we are in line or restart and just re-enter the queue once done updating.

Dont Update Gains when only Description is changed

I edit all my descriptions for all my ICO participations. Unfortunately, each time I edit a description, the system seems to think I've changed cost basis / values as well. Please improve the intelligence of your system in this regard that it detects that only the description was changed and that it does not need to recalculate gains.
This not only adds unnecessary strain on your systems but extra unneeded delays on the customer end too.

This should greatly improve overall performance for all users since your servers are getting hammered constantly otherwise.
I also like the idea of triggering the recalculations (or a dialog) after a user's idle time exceeds a certain threshold.
For example, if there are no changes in the past n-minutes (user setting) you could throw up a popup dialogs (like the Refresh popup) that asks the user if they would like to have their gains recalculated.
