Bitcoin Multisig Support

With Bitcoin continuing to grow in value, multisig is also likely to grow more popular. While there is no XPUB for Bitcoin multisig, the addresses can be pre-computed. This feature requests asks for the ability for the "output descriptor" of a multisig wallet (aka wallet XPUBs + M of N) to be used as the input for Koinly to begin to natively track Bitcoin multisig addresses.

Support for Bitcoin multisig wallets

Currently, when using a multisig Bitcoin wallet with Koinly, we need to manually enter a list of addresses. By contrast, with a single-signer address, we can provide an xpub to have Koinly automatically detect all addresses.
It would be great to have support for specifying a multisig Bitcoin wallet. BlueWallet, for example, provides an "export coordination setup" that would be great for this.

I also request multi-sig support to work with Unchained.
Currently you can export Unchained 2-of-3 multisig wallet to Sparrow wallet, and export CSV records from Sparrow into Koinly, but the CSV has to be modified , so it's a bit painful.
You can re-import the CSV for new records and the old ones are just ignored.

Hi Koinly Support,
Can I ask you a favour if you can see my bitcoin wallet and crypto currency.
100 percent I put some money but don’t know how to access it?
Many thanks.

I totally agree. This should be an “easy win” for Koinly and “low hanging fruit”. Please implement support for multi-sig!

When is this going to be available? Major user-base need here.

Bumping this. Block’s Bitkey multi-signature wallet recently added wallet descriptor exports that provides 3 distinct xpubs. It would be really convenient if we could have support for this, as otherwise, you need to track-down all your change addresses, and constantly delete & re-add the wallet with the updated addresses into Koinly. This method also doesn’t allow you to save changes made to transactions.
Big +1 to this functionality — hoping we can get this soon.

This is a critical feature since best practice for cold storage is to use multi-sig with collaborative custody. I know of at least three companies offering this service (i.e., Unchained, Bold, and Casas) and so support for output descriptors would really be helpful. Also, from what I can tell it isn't that complicated and basically the output descriptor simply provides single entry that describes all the xpubs which can then be use to find all the of associated wallets.
