Tax Optimization: Selectable date
Q

At the moment in the tax optimization you can only see the differentation between short and long term gains/losses for today. It would be really beneficial to have kind of a timeline per asset to see when amount will change from short term to long term.
Otherwise you could miss the opportunity to realize losses (to compensate gains) before they get classified as long term. Especially if you have bought several times, it is hard to find out on your own with FIFO/LIFO when the classification changes.
Thanks!

Please add a date function to the tax optimization tab to simulate short-term vs. long-term taxability (by scenario-based date function).

Yes. Even a link to the transaction-history for that asset/time-frame would be nice.

In Australia, losses are fully claimable regardless if short or long term. The long term tax discount only applies to gains. Not sure how this works in other countries. However dividing assets into parcels for different purchase dates would truly help with tax planning as the dates would be clearly shown plus the actual realised gain would be known for each parcel. This is far better than simply lumping assets into long term & short term.

100% this would be IMO a substantial improvement.
Appreciate the app but have been seriously considering going back to a previous app strictly due to having this feature.

Yes date matters a lot as different parcels of coins on different dates represent different cost basis. Rather than just short & long term which is ok but could be better
