Please add an optional AI-assisted troubleshooting tool within the individual transaction review screen.
Complex transactions often require users to leave Koinly, open a blockchain explorer, research the protocol, inspect token movements, and determine how the transaction should be classified.
An assistant could use the available transaction information to explain:
• What likely occurred
• Which protocol or application was used
• Why Koinly assigned the current classification
• Whether the activity appears to be a swap, transfer, bridge, reward, loan, repayment, liquidity event, fee, or another transaction type
• Which parts of the transaction may require review
• Whether related entries may need to be merged
• What information is uncertain or missing
• Which correction options are available within Koinly
The tool should clearly distinguish verified blockchain data from an automated interpretation. It should not present itself as a replacement for professional tax advice.
Users should also be able to report an incorrect interpretation. This feedback could help Koinly improve recognition of commonly used protocols and transaction types.
Providing contextual help directly within each transaction could save users many hours of research and reduce the burden on customer support.
