Backup or version control

It would be useful to be able to create a backup that you can restore against before you delete a wallet. Especially if you've had to manually change entries or be able to save the manual entries for a wallet so if you have to delete and re-add you can manually restore the manual entries you saved (if possible)

Brilliant idea! KuCoin asked to update my API from v2 to v3 and I resynced my KuCoin wallet and lost two years worth of transaction that can't reload. Top idea!

I need this too. At the moment i am creating multiple Koinly accounts so i can have transaction histories i can play with without 'breaking' my main. It would be great to create a backup before trying something such as switching a wallet from manual to automatic sync

This feature is sorely needed. Koinly is good enough that very few people will migrate off to a competitor once they use your APIs and get all the data.
It's just about safety. It's not in the spirit of blockchain to lock us in with no export and backup facility that we can control.
I've spent probably hundreds of hours manually adjusting all my transactions over the years in Koinly, it's no longer an option for me to use a competitor. Don't be afraid of unlocking our data for us!
Please allow named snapshots, local backups, anything!

BACK UP, RESTORE CHECKPOINTS. Regret buttons

Back up, of entire document within koinly, so simple rollback to checkpoints can be done.
IF your servers crashes and we all lose our accounting, or any bugs ever happen and we all lost our accounting and we are forced to do everything all over.
For this case a back up of everything on our end would be nice to just upload on back up file and continue where we saved a back up file last.
Also checkpoints overall with in koinly would be nice so rollback to checkpoint would be possible. I really don't get it why you don't have this a "regret button"

A way to "backup" all that I have at Koinly. Lets say the account was deleted, Koinly servers went down, anything like that where I would have to start a new Koinly account. In that situation it would be very beneficial to have a kind of backup, like a snapshot, that could be imported into a new Koinly account.

A way to make a backup is to split all transfers and then do an export of the transactions. With a VBA script it is then possible to split up the export CSV into several CSV's (1 per wallet).
After emptying all wallets in Koinly, these CSV's can be imported again in the corresponding wallet. Koinly will then automatically merge all corresponding deposits/withdrawals again.
If Koinly adds a button to split all transfers, then this would be a way to have a backup. There is already a delete and merge button when you select some transactions, it is not so difficult for Koinly to add a 'Transfer split' button.
They could ofcourse also add a 'Export Transactions per wallet'...

This should have a very high priority due to the inaccurate processing of more complex DeFi features such as yield farming on BNB etc.. the algorithmic recognition of LP-farms has big issues and requires lots of manual editing. Losing those manual edits is especially painful for power users that end up paying koinly the highest fees. Not a good look and definitely a reason to leave the platform if it isn't dealt with.
