If I want to add a transaction to fix import issues and the coin is not in the database I cannot create the transaction in the interface. I should be able to create any coin in the transaction that I have imported that is not in the database. And frankly I should be able to add any coin on the transaction, that is in and perhaps even not in on my coins that have been imported.

The simple solution is add the coin to the database when I import it, verifying its presence on chain would be relatively easy (at least for sol/eth/btc etc.) Whether you make that coin public/private is another matter.

This product is better than others because of the the interface, if I wanted to use csv files and excel then I don't need to pay for this. Its great for 80% of the heavy lifting, I expect it to allow me to do the other 20% as necessary and without some of the current contraints.
