If API gets better for wallets, i want to use a new wallet with the API and leave the old wallet based on CSV and link them for the transactions.
e.g. i have binance CSV wallet with a lot of transactions and manual corrections of the past years. Now i want to use the API beginning from next month, but dont want to change the old csv based wallet because a lot of transactions are manually modified

This feature is available :)
To connect the API for an existing wallet, just click on the wallet and select 'Set up auto sync'. You can also specify the starting date of the auto-sync to ensure that it starts syncing from a specific date (the last day that your CSV files cover)

Like Permanent Toucan says you can just add the API credentials and enable them from "Now" then no old transactions will be imported via API.

I'm pretty sure you can click on your wallet, and click on "Set up Auto Sync" then choose a date to start syncing. It is not necessary to sync from the beginning. Before FTX Sub accounts were supported I used CSV files. As soon as API syncing was available, I turned it on as of Jan 1 2022.

+1, this would be great. At the moment we have to create a new wallet and start from scratch, which is super time consuming.
