Cosmos IBC transfers are not being reported as transfers

Hello,
We need a way to map IBC transfers in the cosmos ecosystem.
If I send ATOM through IBC to say, OSMOSIS, I end up with a intermediary (in-between) wallet transfer that we do not own. It then shows up as a withdraw and a deposit between my two wallets, with the linkage missing.
We need a way to match these up as a transfer, maybe a way to map the two addresses of the middle that are part of the IBC.

Transfers between IBC chains should now be recognized and handled automatically as long as both the sending and the receiving wallet have been imported.
If some transfers are not being handled then please try deleting your account cache in the settings. If that does not solve the issue then please let us know :)

Petur: Looks good! Thank you!!!

Petur: I assume this only applies to the cosmos wallets that are supported in koinly? currently only atom/osmo/scrt/kava? no Juno or stars, etc.? or if we set up a "custom" wallet and import a csv Koinly can track these transfers that way?

Yes, this was an issue with our existing integrations that was then fixed. You can always import custom wallets, which will of course be tracked if the transactions are included in the file :)

Osmosis IBC not showing correctly

Cosmos/ATOM and Osmosis/OSMO transactions in Koinly Blockchain wallets using addresses that do not match Mintscan and are simple transfers between wallets (eg deposit ATOM to Osmosis DEX). This then triggers gains/losses
Also, showing incorrect addresses when sent to unsupported chains, eg sent ATOM to Sifchain (Sifchain DEX). Koinly shows address (osmo####) which does not match Mintscan and actual address (sif####). Why is Koinly making up transaction addresses?

Yes please!

This is from the intermediary step of IBC transfers. We need a way to map the in-between steps that sit between our wallet deposits and withdrawal.

Yacht club Swallow: Makes sense, should be possible as Stake.tax provides csv reports that look through this

Denim Porcupine: I just found out Koinly has a 'merge' feature. This seems to work in converting a send > deposit into a single 'transfer' for IBC stuff. While I do think this needs to be automated, for now you can manually do it.
Find the two transactions that are sent > deposit with matching amount of coin, and then check the box next to the two transactions. There is then a 'merge' option available in the bulk edtitor.

Yacht club Swallow: Does that work between wallets? Each chain in my Koinly is a separate wallet as automated, at least for ATOM, OSMO, SCRT, others not yet added to Koinly. So send from ATOM wallet to OSMO wallet, exchange ATOM for SCRT then send from OSMO wallet to SCRT wallet.

Denim Porcupine: it seems to work as long as both wallets are supported. So yes. I can see the full trail. ATOM shows as transferred between Cosmos wallet to OSMO wallet. I can then see it swapped from ATOM to whatever, then sent on. If I swapped to JUNO I see that as a swap, then a withdraw, but then the trail ends since JUNO isn't supported yet. I imagine once JUNO is supported I'll be able to merge the send/deposit combo as well.
