Why is this not yet fully integrated? I dont work for Koinly for free, I'm paying Koinly for a service. This business of customers having to manually import their own transactions (often 1000s) is completely ridiculous.

Lotus pink Cobra:
Hi James,
There is no need to manually input your Strike transactions, since Koinly supports the CSV exports from Strike. Simply export your transactions from Strike and import them directly to Koinly - no editing required :)
Ps. If you are referring to API support - The reason why there is no API support is because Strike doesn't support crypto trade exporting via API. If they add this functionality to their API, then we will also add API support to Koinly

Add Strike to your platform

I get paid in BTC using the Strike app. When I upload their CSV file, your database is not taking it. I have never had any issues with your platform till now, this is the ONLY CSV file that has done this. Please add Strike to your list, they are not a exchange, but a checking account that lets you automatically deposit part of your paycheck, then you get to select how much you want converted into BTC. No fees

Yes, please make the downloadable CVS files from Strike compatible with Koinly without having to modify the CVS file. -Thanks

what does the Strike app have to do with anything?
The mobile/desktop application you use is not the integration point, the blockchain is. Despite the application having "wallet" in the name ("fearless wallet", "trust wallet", "exodus wallet', etc), it is not the actual wallet. The blockchain is what holds you balance and transactions and is your actual "wallet" (that hopefully only you have the keys to).
The crypto side of things is merely an interface/GUI for bitcoin blockchain.
The fiat side of Strike is basically another Venmo or Cash app.
The third part of Strike is the bitcoin on-ramp function.
Integrating a mobile/desktop application is pointless, it is the blockchain that needs integration.
To which, bitcoin already is integrated. So, just take your bitcoin receiving address and add it to koinly like any other bitcoin receiving address.

Orchid Wren: Chad I also have Strike, and I think what Edward is meaning is he wants Koinly to add support for them like they have done with several other platforms. I ran into this issue myself, when I upload a CSV file from all the other platforms they all go through with no issues, but Strike has a great informative CSV, but the format is different. I have to manually add all the transactions which is a pain in the ass and overwhelming at first. But yes Koinly needs to add the Strike.me support. I gave up on all the shitcoins and not BTC only.

Eldest Raven: none of which is necessary as what is collected from the nerwork/blockchain itself is all that is needed for tax purposes. Koinly is tax software, not portfolio management. Why waste their time with nonsense requests that are already handled directly via the network/blockchain.
With that being said, with Strike moving from non-custodial to custodial, there may be some issues related that would require Koinly to address the CSV import issue, as they must for other custodials.
So, cicumstances since my original comment have changed. Thus, now Koinly does need to address this issue.
