When I try to sync my Cardano wallet using my public key, I get an error:

API Error: max execution time exceeded, try syncing again

After repeating the sync, the error persists but no new transactions get imported.

Same issue - only happens with very large wallets (10,000+ transactions). Coinpanda was able to fix the issue within two weeks of having it reported to them. Hope Koinly can get this done soon as well.
