Coinbase CSV: Advanced trades imported incorrectly
blocked / no fix possible
Jack
Wallet: Coinbase
Import Type: CSV ("All history" report)
When I import the file, some Advanced trades done on stablecoin pairs (ie BTC-USDT) and on non-stable pairs (ETH-BTC) are imported with the wrong amount of coin traded - it's showing the amount of EUR (or GBP) equivalent
Workaround
I need to edit all Advanced trades that have been imported incorrectly.
Alternatively, I can try the API ("Continue with Coinbase) instead

blocked / no fix possible
At this time, Coinbase have yet to address the issue with their CSV files.
We are in contact with Coinbase about this and have asked them to fix it as soon as possible.
In the meantime, it does seem like the API is the only feasible option, at least if you have a lot of advanced trades

I have a few advanced trades which are not importing from the Coinbase API.

Coinbase Advance Trading fills fiat amount rounding

I synced my Coinbase wallet to do Tax Report and it's showing yellow exclamation mark "GBP balance doesn't match what you have on your wallet. The balance calculated from imported transaction for this coin is HIGHER than your actual balance by 0.2 GBP".
I had a detailed look at transaction history on Coinbase and what Koinly imported via their API.
Coinbase is rounding GBP amount it deducts from GBP balance to 2 decimal points for each "fill" in advanced trade.
However, it's reporting reporting many more decimal points via API.
Koinly is adding up GBP cost of fills first and then rounding for the whole advance trade.
This different rounding causes the fiat balances in Coinbase and Koinly to be slightly different and it may increase over time.

This issue affects all Advanced trades between cryptocurrencies. The files are unfortunately incorrect from Coinbase, and they don't include the necessary information for Koinly to import the trades.
Coinbase is aware of the issue but it may take them some time to fix it.
Until they do, we recommend using the API option to sync your data
