Xahau (XAH) API Error: Too much data for one sync, try syncing again

When I sync my Xahau wallet using my public key, I get an error:
Too much data for one sync, try syncing again
But no new transactions import when I click "Sync now" again, and the error comes back.
Workaround
I need to import my data using CSVs. I can download a CSV with my transactions from:

The only API provider for this blockchain does not have the option to filter out transactions where there's no balance change (wallet is just a signer). Because of that, on every sync, Koinly has to import (and discard) tens of thousands of transactions - and it looks like nothing was imported.
Unless this changes, we do not have a solution for this issue.
